You have a expertise in the construction industry and you are committed to consumers' interests protection? There are currently two vacancies on the board of the ACQC, a collective rights advocacy community organization that advises home owners and promotes their interests in the fields of real estate and residential construction. The current members of the ACQC Board of Directors have diverse professional backgrounds, including accounting, management, architecture, and law. Some already have experience serving on boards of directors, while others have little to none. There are seven positions on the ACQC Board, and gender parity is typically maintained. The atmosphere at Board of Directors meetings is friendly and informal. Applications from individuals living outside the Greater Montreal area, or from minority or immigrant backgrounds, as well as from retirees or semi-retirees, will be welcomed with interest. Qualifications Sought
The candidate we are currently seeking has a background in engineering, architecture, building technology, or a similar field. This person must be available to attend Board meetings (approximately 7 to 8 per year) as well as occasional temporary committees. Please note that board meetings are usually held in the evenings on weekdays, either in person at the association’s office or via videoconference. For those interested, there is also the opportunity to represent the ACQC before various bodies, depending on current issues.
