The bicycle delivery person’s mandate is to collect unsold foodstuffs from three businesses on rue Fleury, and to deliver them to community organizations from Ahunstic-Cartierville. The cycling volunteer can commit to each of the planned deliveries, or to just a few, depending on availability. We’re flexible, and we’ll take any help you can give. We deliver all year round (summer and winter). Cyclistes solidaires provides trailers to transport the food, and is able to help volunteers attach the trailers to their bikes as needed. Deliveries are done in teams, over distances of between 5 and 10 km, on flat terrain. *** Becoming a cycliste solidaire means promoting food security in your neighborhood in an environmentally-friendly way, with a gang of friendly, dynamic volunteers! It also means taking part in the organization’s festive and inclusive community activities and events. But above all, it’s combining business with pleasure, by pedaling to help people in your neighborhood. Psssst! Cyclistes solidaires are in several Montreal neighborhoods!
