The Outils de paix network works collaboratively to foster cooperation, creativity, and innovation. We share knowledge and resources on violence prevention and the development of peaceful skills to promote citizen-led initiatives for peace.

The volunteer assists with coordination on the Active Fundraising Committee and with certain treasury-related tasks. They primarily contribute to fundraising activities (monitoring opportunities, preparing applications, managing the schedule, and following up). Treasury-related tasks are ad hoc, supervised, and mainly involve updating simple tracking tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fundraising — Active Fundraising Committee
  • Participate in monitoring and analyzing funding opportunities
  • Contribute to drafting applications (narratives, budgets, appendices, letters of support)
  • Maintain a submission calendar and track applications
  • Cash Management (support — light and supervised)
  • Help prepare simple tracking spreadsheets (forecasts, expenses, documentation)
  • Collaborate with the coordination team to organize financial information

Commitment requirements

  • Approximately 6 hours/week (excluding summer)
  • Location: virtual + Outils de Paix office (201 Sainte-Catherine Street East)
  • At least one in-person coordination meeting per week (schedule to be agreed upon)

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong interest in nonprofit fundraising
  • Attention to detail, a sense of responsibility, discretion, and a collaborative spirit
  • Proficiency with Excel / Google Sheets / OneDrive
  • Experience in fundraising, accounting, or management: a plus (not required)
