The Family Support Service at PROMIS offers personalized support to immigrant families, sociocultural activities, thematic workshops tailored to families’ needs, and a community clothing bank.

As a volunteer support worker, you will accompany newly arrived immigrant families either at our organization or in their homes.

The goal is to help them with their integration process and reduce isolation through active listening and support, in collaboration with the team leader who supervises the volunteers’ work.

Criteria:

• Training or experience in active listening
• Good knowledge of Quebec society
• Good level of French
• Open-mindedness toward the realities of immigrant families
• Flexible schedule based on the availability of the volunteer and the family
