We are looking for volunteers to assist our psychoeducator during the “Play with Me” group, which is for children aged 18 months to 3 years and their parents.

Specifically, your tasks will be:

· Welcoming families at the start of the group session

· Preparing, cleaning, or tidying up materials

· Ensuring the children's safety and the proper use of materials

· Any other tasks delegated by the psychoeducator.

In addition to facilitating the running of the group, these small tasks make life easier for both the team and the families we serve!

Activities take place mainly indoors, but there is the possibility of going outside to the park if the weather allows.

Type of volunteering: regular, on a weekly basis, for a fixed period.

Date(s) and time(s): Every Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., May 6 to June 17, 2026.

*Possibility of continuing in July and August, but on a different schedule.

RELEVANT INFORMATION

· Must be comfortable working with children aged 0-5 and in intercultural environments.

· Must speak French and have a basic knowledge of spoken English.

· All individuals in contact with families at Maison Bleue must sign a confidentiality agreement and undergo a criminal background check. Bring two forms of photo ID.

· You will always be assigned a contact person on site during your volunteer work. You can refer to them if necessary.

· If Maison Bleue offers you a volunteer opportunity and you accept, you will be given the contact details of the site manager so that you can contact us quickly in case of delay or absence.

· If the activity ends before the scheduled end time, you will have the choice of leaving early or helping with other small tasks for the organization.

· We do not have a specific dress code. However, a minimum level of decency is required given the family nature of our clientele. In addition, you must be able to sit comfortably on the floor with the children.

IMPORTANT

If this is your first time volunteering at Maison Bleue in Parc-Extension, please arrive 45 minutes before the volunteer activity to visit the premises, learn about the organization, receive basic instructions, and sign the confidentiality agreement.

If this is not your first time volunteering at Maison Bleue, please arrive 15 minutes before the volunteer activity to receive guidelines for the day.
