We are looking for volunteers to help families with simple administrative tasks: Most of our families speak little English and rarely speak French, so they need someone to act as an intermediary to slow down the pace during administrative calls so they can fully understand what is happening. No clinical judgment is required during the process, and Maison Bleue staff are available to support volunteers at all times in case of questions or doubts. Type of volunteer commitment : Regular, weekly, indefinite duration - Long-term candidate sought Date(s) and time(s): Every Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., starting March 12, 2026 Volunteer location: Maison Bleue de Parc-Extension - 7867 Querbes Avenue, Montreal, H3N 2B9 RELEVANT INFORMATION · Must be comfortable working with children aged 0-5 and in intercultural environments. · Must speak French and have a basic knowledge of spoken English · All individuals in contact with Maison Bleue families must sign a confidentiality agreement and undergo a criminal background check. Bring two forms of photo ID. · You will always be assigned a contact person on site during your volunteer work. You can refer to them as needed. · If Maison Bleue offers you a volunteer opportunity and you accept, you will be given the contact details of the site manager so that you can contact us quickly in case of delay or absence. · If the activity ends before the scheduled end time, you will have the choice of leaving early or helping with other small tasks for the organization. · We do not have a specific dress code. However, a minimum level of decency is required given the family nature of our clientele. IMPORTANT If this is your first time volunteering at Maison Bleue in Parc-Extension, please arrive 45 minutes before the volunteer activity to visit the premises, learn about the organization, receive basic instructions, and sign the confidentiality agreement. If this is not your first time volunteering at Maison Bleue, please arrive 15 minutes before the volunteer activity to receive instructions for the day's activities.
