The Women’s Center is seeking women lawyers to volunteer their time to provide legal information to participants of the center.

Volunteer lawyers offer 30-minute phone consultations to women who have been referred by the center’s interventionists. These conversations are intended to provide general legal information and help participants better understand their rights and available options. 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 30-minute phone consultations to participants referred by interventionists

• Offer clear and accessible legal information

• Help participants better understand their rights, options, and potential resources

• Maintain a respectful, supportive, and confidential approach

Requirements

• Must be a member of the Barreau du Québec

• Fluent in both French and English

• Additional languages are considered an asset

• Availability of at least 1 hour per week

• Commitment of a minimum of 6 months
