Our team has set three objectives for 2025  :

• Improve volunteer engagement and experience;
• Gain greater visibility and recognition in the community;
• Professionalize our actions (Board of Directors, HR, procedures, website).

MANDATE:
With the creation of new gardens in the summer of 2025, Jardins pour tous needs to expand its team of volunteers, interns, and garden staff. To achieve this, our organization seeks support to enhance community mobilization and professionalize our actions. We are therefore looking for someone who can help strengthen our outreach to associations and schools to recruit qualified interns and employees in gardening, administration, education, and communications.

Profile sought  :

• Canadian accounting experience (REQUIRED)
• CPA or CA designation (preferred, but not mandatory)
• Knowledge of non-profit accounting requirements in Canada
• Rigorous, autonomous, and well-organized
• Comfortable with collaborative work via Google Drive
• Interest in the environment, urban agriculture, and the community sector (an asset)

Main tasks  :

• Monthly account reconciliation
• Review of accounting entries and financial reports
• Support in preparing annual financial statements
• Advice on tax and regulatory compliance
• Preparation and filing of tax returns for reimbursement
• Collaboration with our team to optimize financial management

 

Conditions  :

• Volunteer position (flexible schedule, approx. 2–3 hours/month)
• Remote work possible, with occasional meetings in Montreal
• be available for 6 months to 1 year ideally
