Prospective volunteers must have a minimum level of knowledge to understand financial statements and reside on the Island of Montreal. Our administrative documents are in French. We are funded exclusively by two provincial grants. The role of the directors, apart from approving the financial statements, is to approve and review policies and procedures and to support senior management as needed. The board of directors is made up of five to seven directors whose term of office is two years, but may be shortened if the director decides to leave office before the end of their term. The successor completes the current term. To ensure continuity within the organization, half of the board positions are renewed each year at the AGM. Terms are also renewable. Directors reside or work on the island of Montreal. Our board meetings take place between Monday and Thursday, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. In 2024-2025, our board held five regular meetings.
