PAQ is an Indigenous organization that supports First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people facing housing insecurity in Tio'tià:ke / Montreal. Through a culturally safe approach, we offer shelters, housing options, and services that promote well-being, healing, and community building. The Mission: We are looking for volunteers with beading skills to accompany members of the Indigenous community in creating artisanal works. Whether you are an expert or know the basics, your help is precious in keeping this traditional art alive and thriving. Project Examples: Jewelry: Making simple beaded earrings. Textiles: Beading on fabric or leather. Medallions: Creating beaded rosettes or medallions. Accessories: Making beaded keychains or personalized lanyards. And more: We welcome your creative ideas! Schedule: We are completely flexible! Whether you can give 2 hours a week or more, we will work with your schedule. (Please note: activities take place weekdays only, no weekends).
