The Valiquette Foundation, a Montreal-based registered charity serving children and youth, is seeking a volunteer architect to provide professional guidance regarding occupancy designation requirements for a potential educational space in Montreal. We are currently evaluating a space designated as Group D (office) and are exploring whether a Group A-2 designation (educational assembly, small scale) would be required under the Québec Construction Code to support small-group tutoring and educational activities. No construction or renovations are being contemplated at this stage. We are primarily seeking professional insight and, if appropriate, light support to better understand the City's requirements and next steps. This is a meaningful opportunity to support a well-established community organization with a direct and lasting impact on young people.
