CARE Jeunesse is seeking a Tax Clinic Volunteer to support our annual PCBMI Tax Clinic Program by assisting members with the preparation and filing of their income tax returns. CARE Jeunesse is a registered organization with both the Canada Revenue Agency’s Income Tax Assistance – Volunteer Program (ITAVP) and Revenu Québec, ensuring a compliant and structured tax clinic environment.

This volunteer role offers a flexible schedule and may be completed in person, online, or in a hybrid format, based on the volunteer’s availability and preference.

Program Timeline

• Start: Late February / Early March

• Duration: Tax season (yearly, if interested)

Location (your choosing)

• In person at CARE Jeunesse: 4999 rue Sainte-Catherine O. #102, Westmount, Quebec, H3Z 1T3

• Virtual (online)

• Hybrid options available, if interested

Time Commitment

• Flexible

• The clinic typically processes 30–40 tax return requests from members each tax season

Support & Resources Provided

• Laptop

• CRA- and Revenu Québec–approved tax software and programs

• Administrative coordination and ongoing support

• A registered and compliant tax clinic framework

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file personal income tax returns for CARE Jeunesse members

• Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with CRA and Revenu Québec guidelines

• Collaborate with CARE Jeunesse staff throughout the tax clinic period

Qualifications & Assets

• Experience with basic Canadian and Quebec personal income tax preparation

• Familiarity with CRA ITAVP and Revenu Québec volunteer tax clinic guidelines (asset)

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work respectfully with diverse and vulnerable populations

• Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
