Quinka-Buzz Youth Centre Is Seeking a Board of Directors Member Since 1981, Quinka-Buzz Youth Centre has been providing adolescents from the Centre-Sud neighbourhood with an inclusive and safe space to develop their social skills, self-confidence, critical thinking, and sense of empowerment. By joining the Board of Directors, you will play a direct role in the decisions that guide our organization and support the essential work carried out with youth. Alongside the other board members, you will: Participate in board meetings (8 to 10 times per year) Help determine the organization’s strategic directions, policies, and budget Monitor the organization’s financial health Approve financial statements and annual reports Support and oversee the Executive Director Ensure the organization’s mission and legal obligations are upheld We are primarily looking for someone who cares deeply about youth, enjoys working as part of a team, and brings sound judgment, reliability, and a strong respect for confidentiality. Experience in finance/accounting or human resources would be a valuable asset to complement our Board, but it is not required. Approximately one evening meeting per month (in person) Occasional email exchanges as needed Opportunity to get involved in various committees, depending on your interests We would be delighted to get to know you!Your Role on the Board of Directors
