The Valiquette Foundation supports some of Montréal’s most underprivileged children through academic programmes, year-long camps, youth success initiatives, and extensive community service. As our work has grown, our financial operations have become more complex. We work with a bookkeeper and an accountant; however, accounting is not our area of expertise, and recurring errors and automation issues persist. We are seeking an experienced accountant to provide practical, independent support. Support needed: This role involves on-site support at least one day per week. Availability can be scheduled between Monday and Thursday, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm. Our team operates primarily in English. While our internal capacity in French is more limited, we value clear communication and are fully committed to collaboration and compliance. This role is well suited to a CPA or senior accountant with non-profit and Quebec tax experience. Your expertise would directly support programmes serving vulnerable children. We would be pleased to hear from you.
– Proper use of QuickBooks for a Canadian registered charity
– Review and correction of workflows and automation issues
– Clarification of GST and QST reimbursement processes
– Identification and prevention of recurring accounting errors
