We are looking for volunteers to help in the kitchen at our day centre on weekends. Volunteers must be sensitive to community support and to assisting seniors experiencing vulnerability and homelessness.

Required skills and qualities:

• Good physical condition

• Professionalism, autonomy, and versatility

• Ability to work as part of a team

Availability required between 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays or Sundays (or both).

Tasks include:

• Preparing ingredients for meals

• Washing and cutting fruits and vegetables

• Washing and putting away utensils and dishes as work progresses

• Packaging and storing food in accordance with hygiene and food safety standards

• Serving meals

• Any other tasks as requested by the kitchen supervisor
