We are looking for volunteers to help in the kitchen at our day center. Volunteers must be sensitive to community support and to assisting seniors living in situations of vulnerability and homelessness.

Required skills and qualities :

• Be in good physical condition;

• Demonstrate professionalism, autonomy, and versatility;

• Ability to work as part of a team.

We need people who are available at least once a week. The schedule will depend on the volunteer’s availability, but we require a minimum commitment of 4 hours per shift, between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on weekdays.

Tasks include :

• Preparing ingredients for meals;

• Washing and cutting fruits and vegetables;

• Washing and putting away utensils and dishes as needed;

• Packaging and storing food while respecting hygiene and food safety standards;

• Serving meals;

• Any other tasks as requested by the kitchen supervisor.
