The Ronald McDonald House of Montreal offers a coffee cart service on the 3rd floor of Sainte-Justine Hospital, providing warm beverages and comfort to families.

Volunteer Duties

• Prepare the coffee and set up the cart in the designated hospital room.

• Serve and prepare coffee for parents of sick children waiting in various hospital waiting areas.

• Keep the inventory list up to date.

• Transport necessary supplies between the House and CHU Sainte-Justine (coffee, cups, sugar, milk, etc.).

• When applicable, offer small gifts or snacks to children.

• Clean all equipment at the end of the shift.

• Keep the room clean at all times.

• Report any equipment issues and/or situations that occur as soon as possible to the Family Room coordinator.

• Record inventory and provide updates to the Family Room coordinator.

• Log volunteer hours in the tracking binder.

Skills Required

• Spoken French and English.

• Discreet, respectful, friendly, outgoing, sociable, empathetic, calm, and independent.

• Good physical condition.

Requirements (Police Check, Car, Basic Training)

This role provides an opportunity to gain professional experience in the non-profit sector. You will build meaningful connections with families, volunteers, and staff members. Due to the nature of the role and the population served, reference checks and a criminal background check will be required.
