Our vision: a society where everyone has access to housing. Our primary objective is to develop real estate projects that are controlled by the users themselves, grouped into housing cooperatives or non-profit housing organizations. Since 1976, we have completed more than 380 projects, totaling 9,300 units built. The Board of Directors brings together a diversity of skills and leadership in the governance of our organization, and one independent director position is currently open. The Board is seeking a candidate with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Community sector Real estate development and/or financing Public policy and/or public relations New technologies (artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, etc.) Law / Legal affairs Mandate: Participate in developing the strategic directions of Groupe CDH; ensure their implementation and follow-up Contribute to the evolution, growth, and long-term sustainability of Groupe CDH Ensure that the organization executes its vision and business strategy in line with its mission, policies, practices and values Ensure compliance with the laws and regulations to which the organization is subject Commitment: The term of office is 2 years, renewable The Board meets 8 times per year (4-hour evening meetings) Groupe CDH has affiliated entities: Habitations Collectives Montréal and Habitations Vivaces. Members of the Board of Directors are automatically members of the boards of these related entities Involvement in one of the Board’s standing committees: Governance and Ethics, Audit and Risk Management, or Human Resources Apply before January 6, 2026.
