The Côte-des-Neiges Volunteer Center is looking for volunteers with a passion for the well-being of seniors to accompany them to medical appointments or the grocery store.

As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to create meaningful connections with participants and contribute to their quality of life by helping them break their social isolation and access the health care they need. Your contribution as a volunteer will make a positive difference in the lives of seniors in our community.

As a volunteer, you’ll have the chance to            :            

- Contribute to the quality of life of seniors in our community
- Meet and network with other volunteers and community members
- Develop and improve your communication skills
- Benefit from personalized training and supervision throughout your volunteer work.

We are looking for volunteers with the following skills and qualities           :
- good communication skills and courtesy
- empathy and kindness towards the elderly
- ability to adapt to the needs and preferences of the elderly
- a sense of responsibility and reliability

The requirements to become a volunteer are as follows           :
- Fluency in English or French,
- Being able to provide two references,
- Resident in Canada for at least six months due to mandatory police check.

Volunteer hours are flexible, with a minimum of 2 hours per week depending on the volunteer’s availability and the organization’s needs. 

Accompaniment is by cab or bus from the senior’s home. We also offer reimbursement of public transportation costs to facilitate your participation.
