Our primary services include friendly visits and grocery shopping (with or for the client). Volunteers may need to assist clients while walking, getting in and out of cars, and carrying heavier items (groceries). 

We are also seeking volunteers with tech skills to offer support with basic tech question (cell phones, tablets, computers)

Many of our clients may have reduced hearing, vision, physical mobility, or memory. The ability to demonstrate patience, geniality, compassion, and nonjudgmental active listening is of the utmost importance.

Once assigned to a given task, volunteers are expected to manage their time and communication with the client(s). Of course, we encourage regular communication and reaching out to our volunteer coordinators as necessary. 

We welcome any skills that may be relevant to working with seniors, or skills which may be helpful in improving the everyday lives of our clients.

There are no fixed hours; volunteering can be done mornings, afternoons and evenings, any day of the week, according to your schedule.
Friendly visits and grocery shopping are done on a weekly or bi-weekly basis

Note : EBM services do not include cooking, cleaning or anything related to hygiene, nor do our volunteers drive our clients.
