Le Point Cardinal is a Rosemont community organization that works with young people aged 5 to 12 to promote perseverance and combat school dropout. Although the organization was only recently incorporated, its activities have been established in the neighborhood for over 18 years. 

Getting involved with us means:
    Helping children reach their full potential and gain self-confidence.
    Being part of a warm and dynamic team guided by kindness, mutual support, solidarity, and inclusion.
    Participating in an inspiring mission at the heart of a neighborhood mobilized around educational success.
We are looking for people who want to support our field team during homework assistance periods with elementary school students.

What you will do as a volunteer:

•      Help children with their homework and develop their work methods, organization, and independence.
•      Contribute to special projects (Christmas activities, end-of-school-year activities, etc.).
•      Participate in group life by ensuring the proper use of spaces and equipment.
•      Discuss the progress of activities with the person in charge.
•      Collaborate in improving our services to better meet the needs of young people.

We would like to meet you if you have:

• An interest in education and the well-being of young people.
• A caring, patient, and organized attitude.
• Good command of written and spoken French.
• Good general knowledge of elementary school subjects.
• Availability at least one afternoon per week (Tuesday and/or Wednesday).
• Skills in facilitation or group management (a plus, but not required).
• Experience with elementary school children is an asset.
