École de Musique Résonances (until recently known as Éveil musical du Québec) is a non-profit and charitable organization whose mission is to provide accessible music lessons to members of the Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve community. Each year, we offer nearly 150 students the opportunity to take music lessons at a significantly reduced cost — or even for free.

We are deeply committed to offering students from at-risk backgrounds a warm and supportive space where they can grow and thrive. Our caring team is dedicated to helping them reach their full artistic and human potential. We prioritize teaching methods that are adapted to each student's needs and learning pace.

This fall (2025), we’re looking for two new members to join our Board of Directors!
The role of board member can involve a variety of tasks. First and foremost, all board members participate in the group’s monthly meetings. These meetings are where the organization’s overall direction is discussed and shaped — always in alignment with our mission. We are seeking members who are willing to be active board members at least one year. 

By joining the board, you’ll also be invited to take part in at least one of the following committees:

• Fundraising Committee (grant research and writing, etc.)

• Events Committee (planning and managing organizational events)

• Communications Committee (social media, promotional campaigns, etc.)

New board members will be elected during our 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will take place in late October or early November (exact date to be confirmed).
