Mon Bras Droit Éduc is an innovative initiative designed by and for postsecondary students living with disabilities. Each “right-hand” assistant is assigned a specific role based on the student’s needs: Reading Assistants read mandatory course materials aloud, either in person or via teleconference, and may record the readings for future use. Note-Taking With permission to attend classes, assistants transcribe notes during lectures—whether in-person or online—based on content presented on the board, screen, or conveyed verbally by the instructor. Notes must be clear, well-organized, and formatted according to the student’s preferences. Academic Support Assistants provide guidance in the writing process, including proofreading, outlining, formatting according to academic standards, and using correction tools such as Antidote. While they may support various aspects of writing, they are not responsible for composing or editing the content, nor for conducting research. This support may be offered remotely.
Our mission is to support the academic success of students with partial or total visual impairments by offering tailored assistance in four key areas: reading, note-taking, academic support, and physical assistance.
