Catholic Action Montreal (#31969)

Organisation:
Catholic Action Montreal
Driven by faith we use our gifts to serve anyone in need. Our current significant projects are furnishing permanent residences of asylum seekers for free with basics like beds, sofa and couches and outreach to senior citizens in an effort to reach those isolated and bring them services they may require and hopefully integrate them into activities with their peers.

This organization's needs

  • Mile end Mission (mileendmission.org) serves over 15,000 meals, fill 10,000 grocery bags and provide countless essential services to its growing membership. Not just a soup kitchen, the Mission provides structure, purpose and meaning for its chronically poor, socially excluded and disadvantaged members. They NEED a volunteer ''FIX IT'' person who can oversee and assist other volunteers as they do minor repairs at the centre. | Place of work: Mile End Mission Commmunity Center 99 Bernard O, Montreal QC H2T 2J9 Read more...
  • We need drivers for a 20 seater bus (4B license required) to drive Seniors to and from daily activities and outings. This project is working toward reducing social isolation for these underserved people. A few hours a week of your time will have an important impact in their lives. DON'T have a 4B license and want to get one, once you pass we will refund you your expenses. | Place of work: Around Montreal Read more...
  • We are looking for volunteer grief councelors to work with the Center for Reproductive Loss: Available to assist at a fixed location, a snack bar, or a telephone call as needed. A conversation with Kathleen Gray, Bereavement counselor, would be required. Please visit the following for more information: https://crl-rho.org// | Place of work: Around Montreal Read more...
