Support to people with aphasia through a variety of bilingual activities and services.
Friendly visits for people with aphasia. Training will be given by speech pathologists. Volunteers are asked to visit these people in their living homes or go for coffee, to museums, parks, etc. They offer their presence and empathic listening while stimulating speech, reading and writing skills. We need patient, creative, autonomous and highly reliable individuals. Volunteers must also be comfortable working with people with various disabilities. With the support of the AQAP, volunteers design their own material and write a brief report of each meeting. | Place of work: Dans le milieu de vie des personnes visitées, dans différents quartiers de Montréal.
